The eye of Ethan

Several weeks ago, Keith bought Ethan a digital camera. Yeah, that's what I said...WHAT? He quickly informed me that it was a CHEAP camera, 12 dollars to be exact. You can tell it's cheap when you see the resolution of the pictures but it's a great way for kids to have almost instant photo feedback. It doesn't have a preview screen on the back but you can still plug it into the computer and see your masterpiece fairly quickly.
I put together a little montage of Ethan's latest work...

Hmmmm, I think I see an artistic eye emerging! Slightly amateur, perhaps, but definitely creative. Hey, here comes the rest of him emerging too! (Sorry about that last line - the phrase artistic eye emerging was just too good to pass up.)

That was great Ethan!!! Hey, I really like the music too! Who's the singer? Ol' 'Lanche was a tappin' his feet---and doin' his horsey grin!

That was entirely charming. How long did it take to put together that video? Ethan's subject matter made me laugh several times. It's obvious that Drew is on his eye level. :) I can't wait to show the video to Darren when he gets home.

When I pulled down the live bookmark and saw the title about the eye, I was a little afraid that it would be some sort of pink-eye picture!

That was fantastic! I think my favorites were: the totem pole, the stop sign, and you waving your paw.

Ethan...you are soooo cute. This makes me want to give him a big ol' smack on the cheek. Where did he find the totem pole?

So much fun to see your world from Ethan's view! Delightful.

Liane!

I am not lying when I say I came to your blog almost as soon as I found my "spam" comment and typed out a comment that said "Did you spam my blog???" I was almost taken in, but garden gnomes? I knew it had to be you. But then, before I published it, I wondered if it could have been someone else, or maybe someone trying to set you up, so I backed down.

Funny, though, really.

What a great idea to get Ethan a camera. Nice job on the slideshow, too.

The next step is to buy him a camcorder and start posting his videos. He could have his own vlog!

I'm surprised he didn't take pictures of himself with Drew- given his penchant for being in every picture w/him...Hee hee.

A prodigy!!! I'm quite impressed... He's got the asymmetry thing down pat. Way to start 'em young, Keith.

p.s. -- I don't know if I've ever written out "down pat"... it looks really weird and I'm kind of worried that it's one of those "play it by year" type phrases... oh well.

Also...the title has me thinking of witches around a bubbling cauldron..."eye of Ethan, tongue of newt..."

SJ--not sure exactly how long it took since I did it in bits and pieces and had lots of software glitches but if all went smoothly, I'm sure it could be done in half an hour or so...

Yeah, isn't the totem pole great? We've got lots of interesting sights right nearby!

Craig, I gave the spamming of you much thought...glad you weren't completely taken in!

That was just awesome! Can't wait to show it to the boys: they'll love it I know.

Incidentally, a little note to Janelle here: I love reading your comments, and especially the way you deliberately misspell words so that when I read them I can hear you saying them! It's fun to "hear" your voice...

Indeed, that blur is Kathryn, and your legs and feet in yet another pic, Janelle of Novi.

Addie and Stuart (especially Stuart) have watched the video about twenty-eight times.
