You too can win!!!

I recently finished making "mini-moopy" from a great free pattern. Actually, this is my third moopy because I was determined for once in my crafting to get something right. Generally when I get inspired to make something, I rush into and through it because I just can't wait to see the finished product and...well, there are lots of mistakes as a result. So, in spite of a little lumpiness this little guy is my most improved moopy.

Anyway, since my house is starting to fill up with creatures, I decided I should try to find this silly thing a home. Who wants him/her?? Ok, here is what I came up with because I know that hordes will be gathering as soon as they catch wind of this. I will give away the moopy to the person who comes up with the best name for it. If you want to participate make sure you indicate who you are in your comment. In a couple days, I will pick three names I like the best and then everyone can vote on them. Whoever wins gets MOOPY, no strings attached...except for the few tangled threads I forgot to cut.

ok, i want it. How about "Stilky". Elise came up with the name and she really really wants it so i think you should give it to her. You can make them and sell them for big bucks.

well, i decided that there arepeople out there that should get it over me, i am going to be adventurous and try to make one myself, it probably won't look anything like the picture. Are you supposed to safety pin the arms legs and ears to the inside?

Go Katina! But of course Stilky is still in the running, and from the looks of it, might be the only entry anyway!
Yes, you pin the appendages inside before sewing it mostly shut and then turning inside out...have fun!

How about "Flopsy?"

Rellanor Itchardson.

I can't let these pathetic entries go uncontested. I propose "Laloo," after a famous Indian boy exhibited in sideshows who, due to a half-protruding parasitic twin, had four legs. The creature you made can walk either way you flip it, just like Laloo probably wished he could do, if only he could command his parasitic twin...

How about a name with family significance like Kinky the Bad Guy?

I don't even want him, but if I win I will donate him to a children's charity of your choosing. =) Because I am really humanitarian that!

Umm...yeah...the word "way" mysteriously dropped off the end of my last comment.

Andrew's vote is Runny Babbit.

Julia's is Sophie.

Kathryn is still sleeping and it is almost high noon.

The name "Ophir" is the clear choice to make.

Laloo the Indian boy sounds like something someone made up while playing Balderdash? I think somone should be Solomon and split the thing in half....

How about "Mopey"

And Gabriel suggested "Foopy." (That was my favorite one of his many suggestions...)

kw, though I'm an avid Balderdash player, I resent your attempt to undermine my entry. I didn't see YOU offering any good suggestions.

how about Caprice - a name with a little twist of french silliness? Casey suggests Zechariah. Pat- dang, I knew I shouldn't have let you kids look at that sideshow book!

Dinghonk! Hehe. A favorite of my silly names. I think stilky is better.

Rellanor Itchardson? LOL!

I say Petunia.

Brent says Fluffernutter.

Grover says Thumperdink or Marvin or Old Man Snicklepritzer or Stew or Philemon.

As you can see, Grover likes to cheat. He says he has 50 more if you want.

Dead Eye Shuriken, and surely no other.

Hey Pat

Didn't mean to insult you...the name just struck me funny....

sorry Keith--
immediate family members are ineligible!

Angus Mcmacusstone Boldheart...Because he looks Scottish. But his friends call him "Gus" or Gussmeister or Gussinator, or sometimes "The Gus man"

It is a boy right? If not Gus is a pretty name for a girl too.

oooh. quick. let me dig up some names I've seen at the bank.....

Whynott (it was a last name)
Diaz
Genievive

Sadly, since I'm not allowed to give out any customer information (and because I have a crumby memory) I can't remember all those other amazing names I see each day.

Mayhaps his name should be Cronkett? :)

I will decide that she is a girl and name her Eddie Claude after my great grandmother. Or Wilhemina and call her Willie. THat's good too.

Since it's going to be way too hard for me to pick just 3 from all these great names...I think I'll put them in a hat and choose 5 and have them up for voting tommorow...sorry to change things a little!
But feel free to enter until the poll is up...
And Ronda, I remember seeing that sideshow book at your house--scary! I think I even remember Loola.

Laloo! It's Laloo! And no offense taken kw, it does kind of sound like a Balderdash entry...

I just clicked on the pattern and chuckled to see the "optional eyes" and "optional pants." So it's an option to make a disabled, obscene version of this creature?
