Crouching teether, hidden baby

Ever since I saw these kimonos in an old Martha Baby magazine, I've wanted to make them. That was years ago, back before I had a sewing machine or any notion of the right or wrong side of fabric.

Finally after only two attempts, I've created something similar. I have to work on the sleeves a little though...they're a little tight under the arm.

Drew is unimpressed.

...And he will probably REMAIN unimpressed about the whole thing for the rest of his life. I mean- he'll see the pictures and be like, "Um?"
Ha! Your children are your sewing-guinea pig/victims! I love it!

It does look quite adorable. And yes- nice title.

That was a very funny title! And I like the kimono, though I am sure Drew won't find the picture amusing at, say, 17 years of age. :-)

I am so impressed with your general crafting abilities! It's fun to admire from afar. (afar because I am certain I will never try projects of the like!)

and for the record, though I don't comment much, yours is one of the blogs I frequent with great enjoyment. Thanks.
