I feel saner now
A couple people may have caught a whiny post I wrote the other day and ended up taking down. I've been having a bit of a hard time lately but now I can put at least one of my recently obsessed-over statistics to rest. I had my first child-free night last night since Ethan was born (if you don't count hospital stays)!
Keith, bless him, insisted that I get away and booked a hotel room for me to have a night alone. I needed it badly and it was all I hoped for...uneventful.

Rejoicing with you!
A hotel room, alone!! Why didn't I think of that? Maybe for my next birthday...sounds like a plan! (course, it would have to be a suite with a hot tub and room service....AHHHHHH!!)
Your post hit a nerve with me considering the night that I had last night! 3 of my 4 kids got me up for various reasons!! Arrgh! But I still wouldn't give up my motherhood for anything!
Yah for husbands!! Yah for hotels!!Yah for hotels without husbands!! I am VERY happy for you.
Oh yeah...Grant has requested that Ethan bring his "super spooky pirate costume" to our house this weekend. Apparently he has a new activity in mind for the two of them. Great costume!! I need to dig deeper at Salvation Army.
Good job, Keith! Yay for you! And I know what you mean about those church harvest festivals. I want to sit in stunned silence, myself.
That is so awesome. You should make it a monthly tradition! Yeah!!!
Love,
Gretchen
I am so jealous. I haven't had a free night...in...gosh. I don't know if I've ever had a free night. LOL! I guess that's what happens when you have 4 kiddos and your hubby works a lot. :( Oh well! I'm glad you got to enjoy some alone time. I might have to ask for some for my christmas present!
