Things that make me happy:
Checking on the boys after they're asleep to see if they've kicked off their blankets (they always have), and finding books wedged in and around a sleeping Ethan.
Ethan's daily questions. "Why does every world have a sky?" or, "Does Jesus know what 'Ga-Ga' means?"
Drew's recovery from the flu.
Two adventurous sisters-in-law, driving out to visit me and the kids for a few days! (All the way from Maine and New Hampshire!)
Finally feeling some crafty inspiration coming back.
And some that do not:
Ethan is sick again with a cough, fever and ear infection. At the Dr.'s today, as we waited for her to write out a prescription, Ethan said to me quite loudly, "Remember the time when you mixed up my medications, Mama?" Huh? Um, NO. The Dr. sort of chuckled to herself in a distracted way.
No access to the good camera for a couple weeks. Hmmm...it's not really mine of course but I sure do miss it.
ZAP! Getting shocks every time I turn around. I feel like some sort of electrical conduit. I try to turn off light switches with my foot if possible.
Being inside a lot...that whole cabin fever thing with the cold and the sickness. Makes me a little crazyish.
Is it worse to end on a negative note or to start on one? At least my positive list was a little longer.

I hear you when it comes to feeling like we're stuck inside right about now. And the shocks! I swear the laundry I did yesterday was just a big ball of static.
What about the ugly?
when I had my carpets installed, the guy warned me about it generating a lot of static electricity, and he recommended just taking a spray bottle[with a "fine" setting] and spraying the carpets if things got real "shocky". Thankfully haven't had to try it yet...
I am going to try that DJ, right now! I could almost swear to you that I even got a shock from a drop of water the other day. I know, I know...
And Claire, I did think briefly about incorporating the ugly somehow...
I have a good suggestion for the ugly: my mood this morning when housekeeping woke me up after only 9 hours of uninterrupted sleep. Ha Ha.
I was surfing the web when I found this crazy site which I thought you might enjoy looking at: http://www.sandrabacklund.com/#
It's funny about the shocks... I seem to be shocking Everlea alot lately (and we have no carpet, just hardwood & tile, go figure) and she gets this surprised look on her face and says "Mama you stinged me" :)
