Jedis vs. Sharks

Today was the first game of the season for Ethan's soccer team. Unfortunately, Keith had to work today and missed out on all the excitement. He really wanted me to try to videotape some of it. So I tried. I also tried to take some pictures and make sure Drew didn't run into the field. I pretty much failed at everything but it was still fun. My videotaping is a horror to behold and my pictures are all very blah. I'm not even sure what the score was.

Ethan did great though once he warmed up and remembered what he was doing. He eventually scored 4 of 5 points for his team (or was it 3 of 4?). He said his coach told him he was a 'sweeper' and he seemed very proud of this so I guess it means something good.

One of the very few pictures I did snap was before the game as the team was all lining up and getting ready. I noticed this girl next to Ethan had her hands on his shoulders for a long time and he kept turning away, giving her this look. Click on the picture to get a view of his full scorn.

Cooties are alive and active at that age. Smart kid you have to realize it :-)

Being a sweepr is something he should be proud of. It's one of the greatest positions on the soccer field. (when your kid is that cute you have to expect girls to come around)

That little girl was just hoping some of Ethan's soccer magic would rub off on her.

In the future don't let girls touch Ethan like that, it'll mess with his game.

I remember when my little brother was 4 and playing soccer for the first time. I loved how all the kids just ran around the ball. It was quite cute to watch!

Way too cute. I love the look. Jaiden is in soccor but it's not team soccor yet. It's indoor and they all just kind of run around....maybe next year he'll be on a team. They look so darn cute...but I just can't get over that look. It's precious!
