Long Weekend Fun

This weekend Ethan had a friend sleep over. They had all sorts of fun doing what boys do: sword-fighting, dressing up as various heroes and villains, playing video games and chasing each other around the house. Evidence of their play is all around.

The above fort had a special password and was guarded closely by its makers. It served as a base for secret operations of great importance and hushed intrigue. The fort-makers took it upon themselves to closely observe and document all activity they could, no matter how mundane. I would look up from changing Adam to see three little heads together under the crib, watching me and taking notes. Notes which are hilarious to see.

We had planned to check out Bloomer Park for a bit of sledding after the temperatures climbed into the balmy 20's. Here's a tip if you ever want to find your sleds for a sledding expedition: Don't leave them outside for days on end. Especially days of constant snow. Yeah....kind of like finding the proverbial needle. Except they did find it after ten or so minutes of stomping around in the snow.

Say, that's a snappy looking throw sitting on the lap of the recliner! =)

I agree with Claire. I SO want to see the notes. I love the things that children write.

Lexie was into this password thing too and made people say it before coming into her room. Don't ask me why but it was: "Daddy's big tummy"....

Yes! Post the notes. I can only imagine what the boys came up with. Thanks for having him...he had a swell time!

I added a link to the only note I could find...It seems that Grant was the main record-keeper. Drew was scribbling away as well but don't think his squiggles would make much sense.
