Lunch follow up

Hey, look! Ideas! I meant to post this sooner but here we are. My internet friend, Emma, who writes for a great site, The Kitchn, has some lunch inspiration for all of us burned-out lunch-makers. Check it out and be sure to scroll down and read through the comments for some really helpful tips. Thanks, Emma!

You're very very welcome! Hope some of the ideas and comments help! Oh, and I'm also reviewing a cool book on cooking with kids right now. I'll send along some recipes when I have a sec.

oh yeah, i meant to mention cereal. I bought Paige a thermos recently. Recycled throw away containers (old washed out cottage cheese, etc) work just as well. Anyways, I fill it with her favorite dry cereal, give her a small milk box and she pours it herself at lunch and loves cereal.

All awesome ideas. I am seriously thinking of getting all the kids some bento boxes. I have been looking at them ever since you posted up that intimidating flickr grouping. EEK!!! But...I love the idea of simple little things in there. It's like a lunch present really. Ebay has tons of cute kids ones.
