It never occurred to me what people in a suburban areas do with their old trees. Shawn just tossed ours over the bank. Do you have to pay extra to have it removed?

Our trash pickup includes one big item a month without an extra fee, or something like that, so we didn't have to pay for tree removal. It does still seem weird to me though, just putting it on the curb like that.
Sad...we put our tree out in the front yard until spring...just to be able to enjoy it a while longer. AND, the birds seem to like the extra cover near the feeder and suet...

I think you should use this picture for next year's Christmas card... you know... just to keep things in perspective!

I like that idea, Susan...maybe we could do that in our backyard next year.
