Ethan has recently developed imaginary friends. Their names are Figga and Spoona. They started off as a couple of nonsense words he loved to use randomly and laugh at. Eventually they evolved into entities of some sort who come along with Ethan at bathtimes, mealtimes, car-rides and more. He doesn't really interact with them but talks about them and how they are coming to visit with their mama and daddy. At the same time, he knows that he is being silly and smiles as he says it. Still it's fun to say their names, if you're really bored...FIGGA! SPOONA!
The muggy heat continues and Ethan just turned to me, since we are upstairs where it's the worst, and said, covered with sweat, "I think I have a fever again in my eyes". Yup, it feels that way.

I can't wait to meet Figga and Spoona soon, now that they have developed into real entities! Sorry about the nasty heat... I can only imagine the sauna that is that room.
What fun imaginary friends are! I used to have two frieds when I lived in GA: Cally and Dokey. And then there was my reflection in the glass door to my dad's study. I think she was named Martha. I'm SO looking forward to seeing you next week! Hurray!
Oops... sorry... that last post that SAYS it was Melissa is actually ME (Kimberly) who is using Mel's laptop at the moment :)
I literally cannot refrain from randomly yelling out "Figga" and "Spoona". I think it was our delight with the words that caused Ethan to fashion them into sentient beings. Figga!
Oh my word, now everyone is going to be talking about F & S next week when they see Ethan...I wonder if he'll be confused, like, " You know them too?" and think maybe they're real...or if he will think it's like a global joke...Okay- too much analysation. Brad is strumming the guitar right now, singing a new song, made up on the spot:" Figga and Spoona, Figga and Spoona...they're living in Altoona..."
They're almost as cool as my beloved Googie and Moonia...God rest their souls...had it not been for the faulty breakline in their Volvo wagon that led to their untimely demise, they might be alive and with me to this very day. Viva la Figga and Spoona! They are kinda fun to say, aren't they?
Oh and Keith, you can't go wrong if you go by way of the FALLS! Any other questions call E-L-Dubya! =)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE ONE AND ONLY Liane!! May you have heaps of joy. Lots o'love, Claire
