A break in the clouds

Big news in Michigan yesterday! An unidentified glowing object was briefly spotted in the sky. Apparently, it's called the sun. And this time it wasn't just my cynical imagination--the local weatherman (I miss you, Chris Thomas!) reported that the last partly sunny day was December 19th! I found myself walking around squinting indoors. Today it's back to darkness.

And, last night, Drew (and, consequently, I) slept for 3 HOURS!! In A Row! I honestly felt refreshed and rejuvenated, able to face almost anything. I'm just trying very hard not to think about how long it took Ethan to sleep through the night.

Three hours at this stage can make a big difference
to your mental sanity...

Just so you know, Mr Thomas has left us. For that evil place known as Mass. Something about money and gadgets :) I can tell you, I dont miss him. He was such a doofus :) and don't get me started on his hair, lol.

anyway, glad you saw the sun and got some sleep. should I welcome you back into the land of the living? or hold off still :)

Ryu-- I'm sad to hear about my weatherman friend...his bad hair and doofusiness were part of his charm! In fact, Keith once requested his autograph for me as a joke and so I am the proud owner of a signed photo of good ol C. Thomas!
And, you can surely welcome me back to the land of the living but it doesn't mean I'll be spending much time there yet!

I remember a couple years ago when Virginia had about 25 non-sunny days in a row. It seriously affected my emotions. I don't know how people survive out in Oregon and Washington.

Stuart has woken up screaming for Mama and Daddy in the middle of the night twice in the last week. We are trying to encourage him that this is not a fun habit. But last night, trying to settle him down, I thought of you guys and tiredly sent up a prayer.
