Warm Fuzzies

I finished my mittens a few days ago. As usual, I learned some lessons the hard way. Let's just say, if you make modifications on one mitten, be sure to keep track of them so you can make the second mitten the same way. Ahem. But really you can't tell that they are different sizes from a quick glance.
Any knitters out there know how to avoid the sort of stretched-out ridges that show up where each double pointed needle ends? I don't know how to avoid them...hard to explain.

Next project: Another baby hat for someone about to give birth! Love making baby hats--they are quick, easy and satisfying.

Where did you get the knitting gene? Man I wish I could get the hang of it.

Remember Grandma Sawtelle's lumpy old hats and sweaters? The apple don't fall far from the tree, does it, Marilla?
