Backtack III...Whoopeee!

I'm very excited that I get to be a part of this fun swap organized by some very talented crafty people. These craft/swap/blogger things are pretty popular in the creative circles and this one looked like fun to me...so, I thought I'd sign up. And, I got in!

This new swap asks participants to create a "softie" for someone else who they match you up with and gives certain restrictions/guidelines to follow. I've been working on this Pointy Kitty pattern lately to practice some sewing although I'm not sure if this is the one I'll use. It would probably be safer to knit something but I'd like to try something new. Maybe I can get my seamstress friend, Janelle (formerly Gazelle Hazen) of Lapeer to help me.

Visit this tutorial to make the pincushion above.

Oh my word, what is wrong with me? Janelle of Mayveeelle where you've only lived for most of your years...
Whoops...a softie is a stuffed animal. Ha, I prob. shouldn't write anymore til I get more sleep.

Hi there! I'm one of your back tack partners! By the way...where in Michigan do you live? I used to live in East Lansing....man I miss that place. Michigan is so beautiful!

Huh?! A softie?! I thought a softie was like an ol' 'cowpoke who'd climb down off his hoss to rescue a lil' kitty a-headed fer sure trouble... Hmmmm. 8~)

I never heard of the "fun swap" thing---sounds intrigueing and fun!
