Sew What?

Have finished a few projects lately in anticipation of concentrating on my softie. I loved this baby hat pattern (Yes, another hat) for yet another baby soon to arrive (not mine!). Drew modeled it willingly enough although it's a little tight on him. It's a newborn size, after all.

Another of Jess Hutch's odd fellows was created with a charming recipient, whose birthday approaches, in mind. (You may or may not know who you are...) Just what you always wanted, I know! (And it's not you, Karena, don't worry)

As far as backtack goes, I'm having all kinds of angst about what to make. There are certain recommended patterns and other very specific regulations like using mostly the colors black and white. I like the patterns and I just finished a practice run on the Pointy Kitty one which was fun. Here's mine:

I like the Pointy Kitty pattern a lot but have wondered about making something else from my Japanese craft book and even tried out one of the patterns in it. The softie has to be no bigger than 20cm so many of the patterns I like in this book are out.

The pattern I tried out was supposed to be a bear but Keith said, "Don't tell that to anyone because it doesn't look like a bear." Ha, ha. I like it but don't feel confident enough about making it look normal for my swap buddy who is probably wondering why fate matched her up with me. I promise I'm going to work on these skills!
The other consideration is knitting something and then sewing some clothes for it. Well, it's certainly got me thinking and brainstorming...
Are you still awake?

Yes, I'm still awake! I will never cease to marvel at your vast creativity.

And...what's this...? You made KEITH an OddbodyFellow for his birthday??

I LOVE the hat! You are truly amazing!

Hmmm, I meant to have that be from just gretchen, as opposed to gretchen again, but I guess I pressed the wrong thing at the wrong time...well, I still think the hat, and you, are amazing...

Incidentally, are you fully aware of the utterly astounding level of adorability that Drew attains? He is simply stunningly cute.

I'm just going to keep finding things to comment on here until you post again...just kidding (and that's certainly not a hint to post more, because you do a stellar job of keeping up with the posting--Thanks!)
