A Blast, Me Hearties!

I took the boys to our Lutheran church/school annual Fall Festival last night. It was an act of pure craziness on my part because I had taken Ethan last year and knew what to expect. It was loud, crowded, hot and overwhelming. On the other hand, there were games, candy, a balloon twisting elderly clown with awesome shoes, costumes, and those bouncy moon-bounce things. Ethan loved it.

I was good for about an hour and a half but I grew tired of having to yell to make myself heard. I finally pulled Ethan away and we ran back through the cold rain to our car. At home we reviewed the evening together and Ethan said he wished he could LIVE there! Drew did well and sat in stunned silence in his stroller most of the time. Success.

Allow me to be the first to comment on this fresh new post that I found on my own on my parents' 26k dial-up connection...go check your stats...it's TDS out of Millington. =)

LUTHERAN?! What the? =) We are going to the local Scientology Autumnal Equinox Meditation with our kids tonight. It should be good fun!

Great costume! Impromptu, authenticer than a chinzy WalMark snaggy nylon affair, and truly priceless!

You have the most adorable boys! I love the wonder in their faces. Sweet.

Drew does look stunned! He probably was just thinking he had this old world figured out and then you had to hit up the Lutherans.

Yes, the look on Drew's face speaks volumes- especially after the enthusiastic Ethan pictures.

I love the "priceless" picture. It made me laugh out loud.

Ethan has a sort of Jack Sparrow look about him in the bottom picture...

I know that clown!! She was part of the "clown ministry" at our old church. Sandra is her human name. What are the chances!?! I see she's become very successful in clowning...transcending her humble Dryden beginnings and rising to snooty Birmingham. Go Oopsy Daisy!
