Let it snow!

With all this unseasonably warm weather, which I know I'll be wishing for come February, it's been a little harder to get into the Christmas spirit. I haven't done much decorating yet...I usually try to restrain myself til Dec. 1 if possible but I couldn't resist trying out a free pattern for soft trees from a blog I much admire.

Oh! Also, I meant to add that Round 2 of the Compound Word Project is underway...See if you can come up with the answers. They seem a little tougher this time.

I think I got most of them... am I supposed to just blurt them all out? I'll just wait until more people comment and then I can be like, "oh, yeah...that's just what I had," whether or not I ever had a clue.

I like the trees!

Hmmm...Do I recognize that little Christmas figure in amongst the trees? : )

And I know just what you mean about the mild weather making it hard to get into the spirit of things. Last year I threw caution to the winds and got out the Christmas music and my window candles Before Thanksgiving! But this year I couldn't even realize it was the season...Finally starting to get into the spirit of things this week a little.

It's such a short season I hate to waste it...

Yes, Gretchen...that little Santy you gave me many moons ago continues to be one of my favorite Christmas decorations--I love it!

I LOVE those soft trees! I keep seeing knitted things that really make me want to learn to knit. Your trees, Jess Hutchison's stuff (Squarey, etc.). Do you know her stuff, Liane? She makes these gorgeous soft toys, and for a while, she sold the pattern book, but I found her after it was already sold out.

Thanks Shari...yes, I LOVE Jess Hutch's stuff too. I actually have that booklet and have made several of the funny little guys in it. Squarey is one I still want to make. I have some pictures in my flickr knitting set.
