Out of Here!

Our three year life of Tetris is coming to an end. After carting our poor kids in and out of almost every house on the market in Southeast Michigan, we have found a place we love. If all goes well, we will be closing on the house at the beginning of March and settling our weary selves in a space more than two times the size of our current home. The value of every square foot cannot be underestimated when living with children. Something we learned the hard way. I am beside myself with excitement about the changes to come. For someone who becomes attached to places and things the way I do, I think it's rather telling that there is not one thing I will miss about this house.

Congrats!!! I am excited for you! I would love to move to a bigger house but we wouldn't be able to stay in the same school district if we did. We can't afford anything bigger in this area! The prices are through the roof. I have a friend in Indiana and he said that our house would be about $40,000 over there. In the Seattle area we paid $300,000 for it. Insane huh? And it's TINY!!!! So I understand the value of each and every square inch. But eventually we'll upgrade :) I'm so glad that you guys can now! That's so wonderful!!!
