A very belated babette blanket

Back in May, I mentioned weaving in the ends on my Babette Blanket. I finished it soon after and was hoping that over the summer I would stumble upon a fantastic spot for a photo shoot. Ha.

Before you know it, snow will be on the ground. So, I gathered my reluctant models in my own backyard and commanded them to "do things with the blanket." Much silliness and general grumpiness ensued.

I am not much of a crocheter but fortunately these squares were fairly simple. I used Knit Picks Comfy (75% cotton, 25% acrylic) a soft, affordable yarn. (Some of the colors: Fedora, Planetarium, HoneyDew, Creme Brulee, Sea Foam, Cashew, Lilac Mist, Marlin and Cypress) I'm not too great at picking out what colors go best with others and there were a few I didn't end up loving so much but I am mostly pleased with the overall color scheme.

There are a few wonky squares. Some were a different type of yarn and others I blame on my fluctuating needle size as I failed to keep track of the size over the life of the project.

This thing is HUGE and really soft. Perfect for the chilly nights of soccer to come.

Huge, yes; really soft, if you say so; and your forgot to add TOTALLY GORGEOUS!

I need a new word other than my usual standby, amazed. Well anyway, I am.
