With the needles

Pattern: Capucine

Yarn: Malabrigo worsted merino, Deja Vu, a little more than one skein

Left off the tassel in the back.

Loved the pattern, love the yarn. Not sure if I can actually pull off wearing it. Maybe I'll get brave.

In the meantime I had to pay Ethan to model it for me:

Ethan as hat model

He was thrilled.

ZOMG! I love it! Both the hat and your son's barely contained excitement. I may have to schedule a special trip to somewhere snowy just for an excuse to knit and wear this hat. (Sorry, did that sound too Californian?) ;-P

Love this hat! You can definitely pull it off. I wish I knew how to knit. I would make this in a heart beat! I like that it's more like a hood than a hat.

The model is terrific. Whatever you paid him, you should double it :)

I just laughed SO HARD! Oh my gosh, this made my day! I love that the eye roll was not enough. He had to make sure you understood with the thumbs DOWN.

Your kids could remind anyone why kids are awesome. (Did that make sense? Did to me...)

Also, the new photo at the top? WOW. I mean, W-O-W. Might be my favorite photo of yours ever. Truly beautiful.
