Farewell to city(ish) life

One of the first days here in our new abode, we heard the approach of the little mail jeep. Ethan watched out the window and then shouted out in a startled voice, "He didn't even get out of his car! He just reached out and put the mail in the box!"

Suburbia. It's a brave new world.

I had the same response my first day at this house, Ethan. I miss the "walking mailman." You never quite get used to the mail "truck." And it ALWAYS wakes up anyone who may be napping at the time it drives up. Just to warn you.

I agree....walking mailmen? I thought they were only in movies!!!

My kids couldn't get enough of garbage day. They STILL get excited about it.

I know, the walking mailman was a novelty to me as well when we moved to our last home.

Really?? The driving mailman is the norm?? I really did grow up in a bubble. I thought the mailman in a truck was from the moon when I saw that after we moved here.

Yes, Heidi, the mailman would drive up in his little truck and then he would go milk all the local cows:)
