Getting there...

If all goes well, and we're learning that's a big IF, but as of this very moment, if all continues to go well, it looks like we will be closing tomorrow.

I made these for our realtor:

Yes, yes, she gets paid for her time, but she has put in a lot of work for us and anyway, I've been wanting a good excuse to try out this pattern for a while. I don't have much cable experience but they came out ok and I think they're a good realtor gift: something to keep the hands warm but fingers free while fumbling with keys and lockboxes.

Made with Debbie Bliss cashmerino aran, two rows short of one skein (grrr.) I might make the wrist a little longer next time.

It's so exciting closing on your first house...even though it feels like you are signing your life away with all the paperwork, I guarantee you'll walk out of there with a big smile on your face. :)

Hope all goes well and it goes through tomorrow as planned!

Happy for you guys...

and cute fingerless gloves, neat idea!

I'm so glad to hear the latest on the house news. And your realtor is lucky! I bet that's the first time she's gotten anything like that from a client! I'd never guess you didn't have much cable experience - very impressive...

Very fetching Fetchings. I have meant to make these for a long time....one of these days. Your realtor is lucky!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you tomorrow. It'll all be over before you know it (and your hand will hurt from signing your name SO MANY TIMES!!!) Good luck! I can't wait to see pics :)

You're very trendy, fashion-savvy Realtor will LOVE them. As with all of your work, beautiful. Good luck with closing!

Those gloves rock.
Good luck with the signing/closing. We get to do it (again) in a few months. After three houses it doesn't seem to get any easier...
but it *is* exciting.
